"I knew I had a big hearing loss. My job and my wife have been bugging me for years that I need to do something but I kept putting it off. Finally my boss told me I had to get hearing aids to be safe and for the safety of my co-workers. At first I was upset that I was pressured into the situation but I guess I understood. I went to Dr. M. who was very understanding. She got me a set of hearing aids that best matched my loss and listening situations. At first I was not happy about going to the fitting appointment. But as she programmed the aids and I listened with them, I realized how well I was hearing her and my wife and also how much I had been missing. I actually asked my wife to talk quieter. When I came back for a follow-up appointment, I told Dr. M. I was wearing them all the time at work and most of the time at home, and everyone was very happy. I really feel like I can hear so much better. I'm not tired from struggling to hear what people are saying. My boss is totally psyched."
